Great car in my favorite color . my 81 GSL was dark gray and I had it 12 years .Good looking build ,not outlandish useable ,driveable good balance of all systems and a great looking motor with performance to go with it .The best looking third gen that I have seen in the flesh .I know how much time and sweat it requires to put out a unit as well thought out as this car . I have been proud to have motorcycles in rags and I know you are proud to have your car in a performance rag .I would enjoy having a quality work of moving art such as your car . Use it and have a good time with it .

First of all it's a HUGE honor to be in a mag, much less featured and on the cover. I honestly never thought my car would be there. In the beginning I just wanted to make it reliable, quick and nice all around... I hoped that people would like it but I was building what I wanted. When it was done I hoped for a mag spot, maybe as a readers ride but never thought I'd get a feature. Then to find out about getting the cover was over the top. when I opened my mailbox and saw my own car that was crazy. It became real at that point. The thought still puts a smile to my face.
To answer your question:
no, not really, lol... But for those who helped me along the way and those companies who thought enough of my car (before it was finished) to sponsor me in any way, I hope this makes it worth it to them. 'Free' advertisement. Seriously guys, the people at JIC Magic, Exedy, Rotora are just awesome, and through them I was able to secure deals with Mackin Industries (RAYS ENG) and Toyo Tires, both great companies with Superb products and I am happy to represent them all.
The local sponsors are HTW Motorsports, a local wheel and tire shop which bought my first set of wheels and tires out of shear Faith. I hope the article is some payback to them as well. The other local sponsor is St. Tammany Collision Center, right around the corner from my house, they are a body shop that takes show cars seriously and all they asked me to buy was the paint. They did the rest. Ok well I had to help sand, lol.
I have to say though, the best to deal with has been Joe Nass of Sharp Wit Signs, he provides all the decals for the car. As you can imagine, all the logos are different colors and sizes and it was Joe who wanted to be involved with the car and has made countless decals for shows and has stepped up every time I asked for something new at the last minute for a show.
If any of you guys need decals, I HIGHLY recommend you check him out at http://sharpwitsigns.com/default.aspx
He can make anything in just about any size. Tell him I sent you and I'm sure he'll give you a great deal.
So in a sense I didn't get paid per se but I get to pay back the people who have helped me. None more than Jonathan Bruce of Gorilla RE, without Jonathan my car would not be what it is today.

I really should have put normal street tires on but hey what's done is done.
Oh and that's Jonathan's Patented MONKEY POSE! I'm on the left, lol.
