looks like a nice purchase but i see a few problems with it though.

its supposedly a grade 4.5 (Small Scratch, within 3 years from first register year, and less than 30,000km) the car has none of them, its been painted in a different colour with the engine bay left in the original black. holes left in the boot etc.

the later models LOST the chrome surrounds around the gauges.

yeah i noticed that too but i got some friends that are gonna repaint it for me when it arrives from japan. the bumper i don't know what brand it my mate that is gonna repaint the car for me thinks he might know but wants a closer look at it to be sure.and the seats i am not to sure on what they are but they won't be staying in for long i got some spoon seats at home so i will be looking at putting those in.

i am looking at keeping it automatic for now as i don't have the time to change it to a manual and also i want to put a stronger automatic gearbox in.

Id want to verify the K's. seems like a gauge transplant to me.

yeah they are the k's on it i phone up the AFTC which is in japan and they said that they check the car and that the k's on it were right.

yeah just make sure.. when one of the globes behind my tacho blew instead of trying to find a place that sold them i just bought an entire gauge cluster from yahoo for 50 bucks or so.

There are a LOT of scrapped FDs in japan.

yeah i know i have just sent a email to my god parents in japan and they are gonna take it for a test drive before it is loaded on the boat in a few days.then i will have to wait another 4 to 6 weeks before the car lands in new zealand.

hey vrmmmpshh i have just found out what makes that drivers rear bumper look like it is dented another car has chrome wheels on it and it is reflecting onto the car.

lol i never even realised the rear bumper..

my biggest concern is that they have given it an auction grade 4.5 which it obviously is not. Cars that are new/ almost new are a grade 5.

they brought the car at auction as i have just been reading the condition sheet they sent me and it says the definnition is made by auction.we cannot be responsible if the condition differs from the condition sheet.but i have asked for more photos before they put it on the ship.
