Motor Mounts...solid or no?

okay, it's time to replace my motor mounts. I need a few opnions... With FD owners, is it a good Idea to go with a solid mount, or should I spend the money on polyuerethane..... I'm not totally concered with smooth, but I don't want stuff to vibrate apart or my CD player to skip all day... whatdya think? thanx ya'll

If it's a street car just get urethane mounts you'll be fine and they clean up most of the drivetrain slop. Solid mounts add an excess amount of vibration to the car.

Yup I agree with the two above, you can also install a tranny brace which will keep the driveline in good order as well. I think some people put rubber washers on the tranny brace to reduce the vibrations and noises, but the noise doesn't bother me.

yeah.... I'm really not concerned as far as comfort, I want as little unnecissary movement in the drive train as possible....

Installing solid mounts is just plain stupid on a street-driven car, IMO. Just go with the polyurethane mounts if you think you need them.
