I noticed that both manufactures offer multi-pass!!! how much of a temp rang in difference did you guys notice between single pass and multi-pass radiator.
or are they just charge more for the multi-pass and we really don't need it for daily driving here in southern California.

I noticed that with my current oem with a little royal-P water wetter, my temp never exceeds over 109 on HOT DAY!!!

I have a koyo, looks awesome and performs even better. Plus I can't wait to flip it and do a Vmount setup soon.

Fluidyne fits better than Koyo. If you are not road racing, the Fluidyne will keep you plenty cool.

Koyo has known fitment issues, especially when it comes to upgrading to a larger SMIC.

I have a fluidyne and it cools my car just fine.

Sounds like you have a problem with your coolant system. Even with a FMIC, my coolant temps only got that high when flogging the car at Buttonwillow.

Some of the better rads for use with a SMIC are the Fluidyne's and AWR / Mazdacomp rad. Koyo usually causes fitment issues with a SMIC.

I posted links to places to buy both on the radiator thread from last week.

I'm all about the fluidyne's. A lot of my friends have complained about the Koyo's being just a little to thick and having bad airflow. Keep in mind that I'm talking about applications with FMICs. Both of my local shops Rotary Performance and Gotham Racing back this up agreeing that the Fluidyne is the best bet.

My application has a Greddy FMIC and a fluidyne rad with the A/C condenser between them and my temps are 95-96 in traffic and 89-91 while cruising on the highway.

i have had 2 koyos already and no fitment issues. my first one is sitting in my garage. the second was included in my vmic kit. car stays less that 100c beating on it hard. not yet tracked though.

The pwr and especially the Griffin (currently have) both required quite a bit of grinding for mounting. You want a radiator with rounded corners to fit nicely.

240F is really hot man...like engine damaging range. You might want to get that checked out.

anything goes over 98 and i shut the car down.

Lucky7racing has a nice radiator you can get, SD. It runs in the 160.00 range -- they're up in Duarte, CA. Everything fits well except the fuse box on the front ... easily re-located.

yeah i know. i have been keeping a close look at things. i think the previous owner either never flushed the coolant system or he used a shitty mixture when he did it.

i have a koyo sitting next to me ready to be installed with my new ast and intercooler kit. so its all good...i'll straiten out my temps when i do the install

i think with the little fitment issue that everyone is mentioning about their radiator minus the fluidyne, i guess I'm leaning toward this unit.
In any case the OEM is a POS and running over 109C kills me and my rotary.
