MOP Sensor

Recently when I start my car my oil pressure has been really high. It almost reaches 120 by 3K at very very light throttle. It eventually goes down. I also have had a oil leak at the MOP area and last night I noticed my CEL flickering so I pull the codes and it turns out to be the oil pump sensor. What can be going on? Should I pull off the pump? I have looked at the FSM about testing the sensor but I dont know how to go about doing any of that with it on the car. I also have rough warm ups with lots of oil smoke. I hope these problems are all realted to this. Any ideas?

The oil pressure sender is notoriously inaccurate and it's normal to have a higher pressure when the oil is cold. The oil pressure has no relation to the MOP CEL, but the smoke at start up may be related. Your going to have to get in there to find the oil leak anyway, so dig in and follow the FSM tests. it could be as easy as a loose connector.
