I had one very badly coated plug. I replaced the wires and plugs, but the power was not restored.

Bad coil? Well its next on the chain.

How can I test it?

I was going to just pull the wire to see if it makes a difference.Makes sense, but could the coil be working partially and invalidate that test method?
