Misfire maybe?

With my new haltech in the car runs great MOST of the time, But sometimes like this morning it has a couple of problems... When i boosted to 14 psi this morning the car made a pop noise at around 5000 rpms and stuttered, and i saw the tach drop abot 500rpms for a second... then it keeps pulling hard... I have the haltech set up to run between 10.8-11.2:1 afr throughout boost.... Does this problem sound like im just misfiring...

If so what could i do? i alreayd have new ngk plug wires on my desk to intall, and i put new sparkers in it about 7000 miles ago... Time for coils maybe?

i never had this problem with my stock ecu, but then again i was never boosting to 14psi with my stock ecu either

I'm assuming the car was at operating temps when this happened?

If so, I would try new plug wires first (along with checking your grounding). I switched to Magnecor wires about 2 years ago and they helped in my rpm breakup/hesistation.

After that, you might want to look into some of the ignition products like the HKS or Ignition Solutions.

You shouldn't need new coils unless there is a problem with yours. Typically you only need an ignition amplifier to help get a better spark.

I don't see why the Haltech would have a problem with it, however I'm no Haltech expert.

I believe "rotorbrain" is running that MSD system. You might PM him about it.
