might be taking the plunge . . .

I've owned 4 fc's done TONS of work on them. recently i test drove a '93 touring FD for sale locally for a good price.

car's kinda shabby but has 8k on a rebuild, and drove AMAZING

problems:
once warmed up the car doesn't like to idle (too rich?, its running a PFC)
its missing little things, like a cat, intercooler ducting, the passenger side wiper arm. the blower motor failed and the gauge and running lights aren't working for some reason (turn signals do work though)

is this easy and inexpensive stuff to fix? and is it worth it to keep the Bose tube snake stereo crap in? After driving this car i dont think i can put off getting one anymore and driving my fc is depressing now >_<

i'm not looking to make much more than stock power and this car would be daily driven.

wiper arm can be replaced for around 5bucks if you search the wtb section.

running lights can be something simple or a huge pain in the ***. most likely the harnesses have either been yanked out of the lights, or the wiring to them is fucked. most likely they will be an easy fix.

the gauge lights issue is probably something simple, but it could be indicative of an odometer clocking that was done poorly. rx7 odo's are clocked by swapping the cluster for one with lower mileage on it. anyway, to fix the cluster lights you just have to make sure the little harness for the gauge brightness dial is plugged in, i have an rhd car and it is next to the lighter, it may be different on a lhd car. also make sure the brightness **** is actually turned up.

the blower motor will be a big pain in the *** to fix, as far as i know you're gonna have to haul the dash out to fix it.

a missing cat is not a big deal as long as the pfc is tuned for it. a high flow cat is around 100$, so is a regular generic brand cat and you can install it in under an hour yourself.

the missing intercooler ducting sounds weird, why is that missing? is the intercooler working?

as for the car not idling, could be a million things. did the car tend to buck a little bit when driving it around at slow speeds in 1st gear? or did it idle surge around 900-1500rpm and make a weird fluttering sound when the rpms dropped? if so that is most likely the tps which is a fairly easy fix, but it could also be a vacuum hose issue.

i would leave the bose unit intact unless you have a substantially better system to put in there.

car made no bucking, hesitations or sputtering at all, just didn't like idling warm. Apparently the car blow the fuse that the gauge lights and running lights are on, but all other lights work . . .

all the stuff u want to fix is minor except the car not holding an idle when warm.

get the compression tester out before u negotiate.
but i would buy it up either way. just let those things dictated the price
