You can port the wastegate (search for how-to). This usually reduces the problem enough so it can be dealt with.

What are your other mods?

As long as you reliably keep your Psi at stock levels (10psi) you should be able to hold a midpipe..

Wha? Boost creep means you CAN'T reliably keep your psi at stock levels.

Also, a midpipe doesn't CAUSE boost creep, a restriction in the exhaust (cat) will not ALLOW creep. For example, if you have a stock pre-cat, catback, intake, intercooler, and a full midpipe, you probably won't get boost creep because of the bottlenecks elsewhere in the system. It just so happens that the catalytic converter is often the largest restriction and last-ditched component of the intake/exhaust setup.

Just trace a 3" exhaust gasket on a small sheet of stainless and cut it out, but make the hole 2.5" instead of 3". Insert it between mp and cb alongside the gasket.

It works just fine for me to control creep and will stay in place until I have time to port the wastegate.
