I made a restrictor plate with a 2.5" hole to prevent creep, and I'm using the Home Depot bleed valves to keep the boost at 10 psi. although I'm considering turning it up a little.

How hard is it to make a restrictor plate and will the restrictor plate be a real deadend on the performance of the mid-pipe mod? I really want to do this mod but dont want to have boost creep. Would the restictor plate keep it down to 10-12 psi. I have a dp, cb greddy sp, b/c profec b. I'am hitting 10 psi and was to before the dp. Adding intake real soon and I want to had a midpipe. If I keep the psi down to stock level i really shouldnt need an upgraded ECU correct?

I'm thinking of testing out the poor man's non-sequential conversion this weekend. do you think that a 2.5" restrictor plate will be the right size for me? non-ported wastegate.

oh yeah, 12psi

It's worth a shot. I just took one of the exhaust pipe gaskets and a peice of sheet metal, cut out the hole with tin snips and everything went well. Using the bleed valves my boost on the second turbo creeps up to 11 psi in 4th gear, but it seems to be working well. I'm sure their is a power loss with the plate, but it has to be less than with the main cat.
