I just switched to a miata battery.
I have a custom insert in the stock bottom battery mounting plate that holds the smaller battery in place. it works well and doesn't rub my IC like the stock one did....

Do you have any pictures? are you using the stock radiator or after market unit? i'm running the fluidyne radiator with the hks FMIC type S, i hope by switching to the miata battery i wouldn't have to relocated the battery in the trunk.

Exclamation Don't use water filled Miata battery

Only use it if it's a sealed dry cell or gell filled type battery!
