Megan and Tsudo downpipe comparison
I was wondering if both the Megan and Tsudo downpipes were are constructed by the same manufacture and then just sold under different name through different retailers. They appear to be physically the same. I have done a search on each downpipe and read every thread and there is no mention of this.
What I did find that is there are some people that felt the fitment of both is poor where others feel it is good. The only major difference is that a lot of the threads on the Megan downpipe talk abut having to grind the welds on the turbo flange at the holes for the two top bolts. I don't recall reading about this in any of the Tsudo downpipe threads; does this mean this is not required for this downpipe to fit properly?
Basically I want to know if they are the same downpipe if not which is better of the two?

I think the consensus is the cheaper downpipes are a crapshoot. You might get good fit, you might have to grind, you might get a big pain in the butt. It's that simple. If you want a guaranteed good fit, go with one of the more expensive name brand downpipes.
Downpipes also aren't hard to find used relatively cheap. I bought a Bonez (from Rotary Performance) downpipe off Ebay for $30 a while back. Yes, $30. It was a little rusty looking, so I guess no one wanted to bid on it. It doesn't matter if you get it JetHot coated - they take care of all that . So, I've got a spare downpipe to get coated at my leisure.
