Well, I guess we all started somewhere...

No cylinders - 2 rotors (try www.howstuffworks.com)
Don't drive a Rx-7 in the snow
RX-7's are not inherently reliable. They often require alot of time and money to keep running correctly.

For more info check the NEWBIE links.

*sighs*

Seaman, its guys like you that make us look even better. These first mods are a must!!

Veilside body kit, for aerodynamics
Stickers for UV protection
Airbags or cut stock springs (better than most aftermarket) for better control
Eliminate ast and thermostat
Change oil every 7k miles, use nascar quality motor oil
Mix about 4oz of water wetter into every full tank of gas for better cooling

These simple mods will get you a long way. Good luck!!

This is true, BUT if you exhaust the search function you "usually" find what you want...it's when people come around and say "Hey man, I wanna stick a 20b in my 7 that I don't have yet, how much it gonna cost?" questions like that usually get alot of $mart @$$ comments...

Really makes you kinda happy that you read a bunch before you started posting like a mad man...

As for the person asking the question...I do believe that the 7 can be used as a daily driver (on nothing but dry pavement) but it's going to take money to keep it in good running shape...I have done reliability mods alone and I have already dumped about 3k into my 7....

Sooooo, with all that said I really think the 7 shuld be bought only when you have some expendable income...like about the cost of a rebuild...Just in case, cuz you never know with the 7
