Mazdaspeed MS-01S 18"X8J+40

Recently I have gotten a set of the Mazdaspeed MS-01S 18"X8J+40. Wondering if anyone have any idea on the fitment of these on the FD3S.
Currently on CE28 18"X9.5+45 all round.

these will be 14mm more sunken in than your current fitment..... so not great. you would need a 15mm spacer to get the same fitment you have now and a spacer that thick is not advised. the specs on those wheels are just not great. it will be similar to the fitment of stock wheels and being only an 8j, anything larger than a 245 will balloon. they're 18s so that helps a bit but they're not going to look that great especially if your car is lowered. they're going to look super sunken in.

Those are meant for the RX-8. My MB FD is currently sitting on these wheels in the FD staggered sizing---- 18x8.5 +40 and 9.5 +38.

You so fancy!

As Good mentioned, the wheels you have are meant for the RX8. Either way though, they are still highly sought after.

But Good has the good stuff for the FD.

Yes GoodfellaFD3S. I am aware they are the SE3P specs. Just wondering if it'll work with the FD3S as well. Guess it's not ideal.

When the 3rd gen first came out, i wasn't a huge fan of the montego blue, but that color has looked better and better over the years. Especially with gold or bronze wheels.

Not that it isn't ideal. You could run a square setup all around. 40+ isn't too bad seeing as how the factory is 50+. I love how people think the OEM is "super sunk in" lol
The problem is it's only 8" wide since they were meant to be a direct replacement for the RX8 wheels.
If you're already used to seeing your current setup, moving to these OEM's will look a little odd.. at least for the rear.

I'm almost tempted to pick up the set at auction.. almost.. thankfully the price is making me do double takes all the time. Plus, finding the proper tire size would be a nightmare. Profile gets lower and with the condition of the roads around here, the last thing I want is to bend a wheel or suspension component. 17's it is..
