Mazda Dealer Mechanics Help!!
I HAD A FUEL LEAK AND I DROVE IT TO THE NEAREST MAZDA DEALER. AND HAD THEM CHECK OUT THE PROBLEM. THEY FOUND THAT IT WAS THE FUEL RAIL BUT THESE MECHANICS WILL JUICE YOU..SO I FOUND IMFORMATION THAT FUEL RAILS HARDLY GIVE OUT. I HAD THEM CHANGE ONLY THE O-RINGS ON THE PRIMARY INJECTORS AND VACUUM HOSES. I HAD MY FD FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AND ITS STARTING TO SMELL FUEL AGAIN. IM PISSED OFF BECUASE FOR THAT JOB THEY CHARGED ME 1,200...THAT'S KIND OF EXPENSIVE IF YOU HAVEN'T EVEN PUT A MOD ON IT YET...WHAT SHOULD I DO ......

Just because Mazda manufactured rotaries doesn't mean that when you go to a dealership they know how to work on them. Look around in your area for a shop that is experienced working on RX7s or buy the manuals and learn how to do it yourself.

is your fd a 93?? if so, bad fuel lines are known on the early 93s. Mazda had a recall on it. go to your mazda dealer and see if they ever did a recall on that thing. it is free if they haven't done it yet, but then again, it been so long now that they might void the recall and make you pay out of your own pocket. hey, doesn't hurt to try.
gook luck bro.

Yea, I've had many bad experiences with Mazda Dealers. When it comes to the FDs they do not know a damn thing. Don't ever go to them for anything, I mean anything!! not even oil changes or brakes(unless for the parts). At 70bucks an hour, it's not with the risk.

FIRST AND FOREMOST DONT DRIVE YOUR CAR LIKE THAT AND CHECK YOUR PULSATION DAMPER THEY ARE PRONE TO LEAK PEOPLES CARS HAVE CAUGHT ON FIRE BECAUSE A FAULTY DAMPER.

Mazda dealers can't fix FD engines, drive trains, etc. My ABS went out when I had the brakes serviced at the dealer, never to return.
Today, my competent RX7 mechanic in town (RXforyour7.com, I'm lucky to be in Tucson) told me my tranny to engine mounts were cross threaded - that would be from my dealer serviced clutch replacements. He's a $100 an hour which hurts, but that is better than paying the dealer to damage your car.
