What brakes are recommended for a 93 FD3S?

If your looking for something on the cheap thats better than stock, bonez makes a pretty good kit for the money. I ran them on my car when my stock brakes were about to go.

I recommend the slotted rotors as I heard drilled ones tend to brake more easily.

Brakes on the car are currently stock and lately it feels like I have to apply more pressure to slow the car. That's why I'm thinking about new brakes. I have'nt checked the pads yet but will have to do that.

I dont need racing brakes but would be nice to have.

I bought another RX-7 from DJ Seven about a year ago and the brakes on that RX-7 are the probably the best brakes I've ever had to use.

I've noticed that Mazda did not fool with the brakes on the RX-7.

The stockers are very capable brakes and unless your running on the track with stickies you should be well within the stock brakes performance level. I suggest bleeding the brakes first and see if the pedal feel gets any better. If it doesnt, I would put some new pads on there and get some stainless brake lines. That should be plenty for street use or some track use.

Get the high quality Centric rotors (very well priced and high quality) and some Axxis Ultimate pads.

Try bleeding your brakes now to see if that helps and move on from there.
