materials - a/c relocation

Just wondering for those that have done the a/c control relocation or any other interior plastic mods, what did you use for the filler. Was it bondo, a certain plastic filler putty? Just wonder as I have an old center that I am playing with and just tried this plastic stuff (mix two liquids together in 3 mins wala plastic) it came out more like that foam you can get out of a can except maybe a harder consistancy. It could more than likely work but is extreamly heavy and would require bondo or some other type of prep due to the fact that it is rather foamy so lots of air pockets and stuff that would need filling for a smooth apperance. I will say that it does shape nicely with a dremal but think I will be cutting it all out tomorrow and try another route. Any input or info on what you used would be greatly appreciated.

I would be very interested as well, along with any write-ups?

There used to be a write up on Waels old site efini.net
When I did one I cut the parts, epoxied them into place. Then filled and preped with regular bondo and primed as necessary.

so you cut up your a/c panel and glued them into the center shifter plastic vs filling holes and dremling out new holes that match the a/c panel look?
