Master cylinder or Transmission going bad?
First of all I searched here and on the rx8club.
I have a rx8 with fd engine and transmission. I have a act clucth installed. When I installed the clutch it wouldn't take any gear at all. After 5 minutes of pumping, it worked fine. Now the issue is that 4th gear doesn't go in unless I pump twice or more. The weird thing is that from 5 to 4 gear it goes in smooth.
My thoughts on this is that it can be throw out bearing going bad or master cylinder and maybe the transmission itself.
What is your take on this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Master and slave are well known to be subject to corrosion, especially if they've sat around with fluid inside open to air...which might be the case if you've sourced a complete driveline, they'd be the first things I'd check.
If they are the problem, sleeving is cheap and rebuild kits a few bucks.
