Master Cylinder Removal

I am not able to remove the master cylinder. It seems like it stuck or hung up where it meets the
black vacuum thing. The new one looks like it just plugs in there and then you put on the 2 nuts.

I did one maybe 20 + years ago on a different car and it had a shaft from the clutch pedal that had to be removed. This doesn't look that way and I don't want to pry it or force it.

This is a FD.

Thanks...

I can't believe I am the only person to ever change a master cylinder on a FD?
Or no one comes to this site any more.

Simply had to use a large amount of brute force to get it off.
I was certian is was still bolted on somewhere.

However after changing everything thing the clutch still does not work.

You said that you were changing the master cylinder, which is attached to the vacuum booster. But after you changed it, your clutch still doesn't work right. Well that is not the master cylinder for the clutch
What exactly were you having problems with?
There is a master cylinder for the brakes, and there is a master cylinder for the clutch. Two different parts.
