master cylinder
master cylinder
a couple months ago the clutch would engage while the pedal was on the floor and sometimes would stick to the floor. the pedal felt mushy. so i got the slave cylinder replaced and it was fine.
it has always been hard to shift when cold and sometiems it was hard to get into any gear it would just feel like when you try to go into 1st while moving and it wont let you. that was fixed.
but now its doing it again i think it is the master cylinder. should i just get that AND the fork replaced since that'll probably be dying soon anyway?
and where could i take it (demetrios is temporarily missing in action) or who (in maryland) could help me do it? i'd like to learn to do it myself but i dont have a garage (building one this summer)

It is the clutch master cylinder...I had the same problem a few months back. I ended up changing both the slave and master, since they usually go out together. It's not too hard to get to, it's under the brake master cylinder, I believe they share the same resorvoir. I wouldn't change the fork, unless you had a problem with it...doesn't sound like it's the fork.
