Manual transmission?

Hey guys, i have a 92 FD with auto transmission and i was contemplating whether to change it to a manual one? I heard that the clutch pump for the manual gearbox is kinda fragile and will be faulty for a short period of time.. Is there anyway to fix this or prevent this to happen? Are there any other things i should lookout for after i changed my transmission? Thanks guys!

I have never heard of a problem with the FD clutch. If you know how to do the swap, do it. you wont regret it, or if you can afford someone doing it for you. either way, manual FD's are a beautiful thing to drive. autos probably aren't that bad, however, I just don't like the stock auto FD tranny.

The clutch fork sometimes breaks when used with a heavy clutch, but it's no deal killer. The clutch hydraulics are just fine.

A lot of owners have converted to a braided hose, but I've not read about many failures.
