Manual trans harness. Help!
So I am getting a haltech and to my understanding it only controls the ignition, fuel pump, and injectors and I realized I still needed some of the my harness so all my stock gauges would work.
well I got to cutting... I cut everything off besides the water temp gauge plug, a ground and all the wires that hook up to the transmission. Was it correct to do this or did I just **** it up? ha

Essentually what I just did or at least what I think I did was all those things should still work with the haltech controlling my fuel pump, ignition, injectors

Wow where to start....
The dash instruments go through so many harnesses so not knowing the carnage you did to the wiring it's hard to help....
Charge light - instrument harness to Front Harness to Engine Harness and to the alternator. No connection to the engine management system.
Coolant light - is fed from the instrument CPU and then throught the Instrument harness to Front Harness to Engine harness to Emissions harness to coolant level sensor. No connection to the engine management system.
Oil Level Light - is fed from the Instrument Harness through the Front harness through the Engine Harness and to the oil level sensor. No connection to the engine management system.
Fuel Low Light and fuel gauge - are fed through the Instrument 2 harness to the instrument harness to the Dash harness to Rear harness to Fuel harness to the fuel sender. No connection to the engine management system.
Coolant Temperature Gauge - is fed through the Instrument 2 harness to the Instrument harness to Dash harness to Emissions Harness and to the water temperature sender. No connection to the engine management system.
Oil Pressure Gauge - is fed through the Instrument 2 harness to the Instrument harness to the Front harness to the Engine harness and to the oil pressure switch. No connection to the engine management system.
Tach - is fed from the gauge CPU and the CPU gets it's trigger from the ECM through the Instrument harness the dash harness the front harness to pin 2B on the ECM. The Tach requires it's trigger from the ECM
Odometer/ speedometer - is fed from the instrument CPU and goes through the instrument harness, the dash harness, and the emissions harness to the speedometer sensor which I believe is the gray connector that goes on the trans.
Now the instrument CPU feeds the mileage sense to the ECM via pin 1N which you don't need and feeds vehicle speed to the ECM via pin 1M which also you don't need.
From the transmission there is the neutral switch (the other gray connector) and it is fed through the emissions harness to the front harness to the ECM pin 1R. This is not needed with an aftermarket ECM and from the transmission there is the 1-2 switch which is fed through the Emissions harness to the front harness to ECM pins 2K and 2L. This is not needed with an aftermarket ECM.
Lastly the Clutch switch is fed through the dash harness to the front harness to ECM pin 1Q. The Clutch switch is required for the starter and cruise control circuits through the same harnesses.

Honestly what you just said made me feel good about what I did lol I saved all the stuff that mattered..
I didnt cut anything associated to the manual trans connection, coolant gauge plug, the blue and the white plug you see in the picture are from the Engine harness its self, and the wires I cut where part of the engine harness that I am not using.
