Manual rack conversion -a Different way

I used the manual rack and the inner tie rods from the FC and the FD outer tie rods.

the manual rack is too short so i used a stud to fit in the tie rod and use a coupler to mate that and the inner tie rod.

the threads are 12x1.25

safe load on that coupler is 1400lbs so i'm not worried it will break. As for thread locking- they lock pretty well (the coupler to the tie rod) then the lock nut against the coupler. I though about welding the coupler to the tie rod but didn't seem like it needed it.

using the FC tie rod ends would mess the geometry due to the reduced movement of the outer tie rod (FD have a special cut out on the edges - you can see it if you take off the boots) and the angle and would still be too short. When bolted down The FC tie rod end cannot move freely

oh and i have enough play now that later i can do the manual rack "washer mod". I want to see if the FD will be able to turn that sharp with the normal rack be for i try that though.

any way some pics.

also built my engine
