Manual boost controller

Today I installed a manual boost controller via the Brooks Weisblat's Mazda RX-7 website (the one with the homedepot valve.) because i would boost to 15psi and it would hold there (it pulled constantly to redline). Well i opened the valve all the way and now i peak at .8 bar and then it goes down to .6 bar. The thing is that after the boost drops at about 4500rpm, i feel a power loss and I hear put put put, kind of vibrating sound out of my exaust. I used the super afc to increase fuel 10% across the board (previous to this, I had to a restrictor plate in which and was on a dyno and I had to decrease fuel about 10% just to show anything on the lambda meter because i was running so rich). what do you think it is? Am I flooding the hell out of my engine? I get no flames out of my exaust but I am back firing every so often. Should I close the valve and increase boost?

What in the heck does fuel cut/detonation/ping/preignition sound like.

P.S. I think my engine is still ok cuz I still have good vaccum at idle. And it drives like normal.
