MANA Expansion Valves - Get the right one

If you're searching for an expansion valve right now because you got that JP3 kit or just getting ready for summer in general...

Don't buy this Carquest part number T38877. It's listed as the correct part for a 94 Mana R12 system by Advance/Carquest. It is not. It's actually backwards and will likely cause your system to not work correctly because the flow is in the wrong direction.

So what are the choices:
OEM FD01-61-J14 Apparently this can still be had, it's not listed as discontinued, it's about 75-100 dollars depending on who you order it from. I tried ordering one, will update my experience here. My Order was cancelled.
UAC EX10277C - Out of stock everywhere. I haven't seen a place that can get it either.

If anyone else knows where to find one or an alternative part number, let me know.

Carquest T38877 on the top, OEM on the bottom.

Call JP3. They've just gone through rebuilding several systems and even did a video about the valves. They would be able to give guidance I imagine.

this is from Halfspec's "A/C Prep Guidelines" on norotors.com

Mana expansion valve part is made by UAC and its part number = EX10277C. Available at AutoZone

I got the Four Seasons 39054:

Amazon Amazon

I saw this recommended in a thread somewhere long ago but there was no update as to if it worked or not. Does anyone know if this one actually will work or should I return this?
