Malloy Reman Oil Leak # 2 (forget the 1st post)

Over the winter I installed a Malloy Reman engine, 9.5 lb flywheel ACT clutch, Pettit intake, PFC intercooler, had the turbos rebuilt (ported WG), DP, MP, CB, Power FC with commander. I converted the car to true non-seq. I have 600 mls on the reman and got on it the other day for the first time. The car is frickin awesome! At 3000 I start at 6 lbs and by 4000 I'm at 10 lbs the whole way to redline. I'll adjust the boost up a little after I get some more mls on it. The pull and torque is awesome. I run my car on road racing courses like Mid-Ohio & Watkins Glen so I'm rarely under 4000, this should be perfect for me. I realize there is a big debate on this site on seq vs non-seq, the above is just my opinion.

I mentioned all the information above just because I'm frickin siked the way the car turned out.

Now to my question. I have a small oil leak under the car that I think is from my urethane motor mounts. The oil pan is sealed with this pink sealer that the reman engines use. Any other opinions or suggestions on other places to look would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ken

Did you seal up the motor mount bolts on reinstallation? If not the bolts need to be sealed along with the mount to the pan.

turbojeff is right.

Also, there is an extra bolt that Mazda puts in the pan that you have to remove before you install the passenger side motor mount. If it isn't removed, the mount will not seal to the bottom of the pan.

Also if you have the newer motor mounts they are missing the small tab that shims the pan up.
No BS. There is a little tab on the silver motor mount (mine , one is sliver one is black) that tab helps pin the oil pan up and keep it from leaking. even with the RTV and being bolted in.
Just a thought.
