That's good to hear that Mazda has worked through their reman quality issues because I'll probably ordering one from Ray in the next few months. My original motor with 70k on it exhibited the dreaded coolant o-ring failure by barfing all the coolant out the overflow tank in the white castle drive-thru a month ago. I did the block-weld trick which fixed it for now but it's only a matter of time before that gives out too.

pugg57 - just replacing my coolant hoses and filler cap. I finally got a good cover for the car too

mgoddard - how often you drive the car, if not very much it should last you quite a few more miles.

I average about 6,000 miles a year on it so maybe with some luck the blockweld will hold for a while. However, when my motor decides it's too good to have coolant running through it again I'm prepared to replace it.

Malloy

I'm not thinking of a reman quite yet, but was kinda curious as to the savings on average for parts. How much do you save from him as compared to somewhere like Mazdatrix?

I am surprised nobody jumped into the thread and started yelling at you for not doing a search before asking such a simple question. The executioners must have missed this one.

just ordered a passenger side headlight cover from Ray!

Seems that they like to blow off at 140mph. Go figure.

Thank you once again RAY,
