I am not taking the piss but those dyno runs are not telling the complete story unless its is in a wind tunnel. No garage fan is going to reproduce real air flow at 160mph also was the hood up or off for these pulls? I ask because your car may run cooler or hotter at high speeds with the hood closed, is this a DIY vented hood?
What is the back pressure like under the hood on real world run?
What are the air flow characteristics? Are the vents bigger over the turbo to promote cooling?
is the intercooler staying sealed to the duct at 150mph+ speed

Sorry I have many more but I will stop:blush:

I am pro AI FYI I just wanted to know more about the dyno numbers

edit: have to ask what kind of psi is your AI ?

"those dyno runs are not telling the complete story"

i completely agree and figured everyone knew that. i am hopeful to produce a real 200 mph log in late Oct.

while the run was nothing but a tuning exercise on the dyno i thought i would share the info. AI pressure was 116 psi net of boost.

Resurrecting this because there is so much good info...

Howard, did you ever get any results from your pre turbo injection versus post test? The mechanical pre turbo system really seems simple and effective.

i elected to use fuel injectors. while i knew they wouldn't last very long w water meth i was really surprised to find they stopped working almost immediately. i should have swapped in some nozzles but other priorities took precedence and i moved on.

after a couple of years on E85 i am back on gasoline and my Alkycontrol AI system running 100% meth. simple and easy on the internals.

What would your bucket list be if you have to retain the OEM (or BNR) twins? Going single (and have a street legal car) is a technical and bureaucratic nightmare in Norway!

I love the idea of E85. Even with its few drawbacks it's an ideal solution. You don't run out of of the washer tank of water meth with potential catastrophic results. But it's just not prevalent in my area enough to make it viable for me.

So aux injection it is!
