I've had my 2000 model type rb fd for a couple of months and sometimes I turn it on go to drive and I can't get above 2500 prm in any gear, to fix this i simply turn the car off and on again (while rolling) then the car drives again.
Also the turbos are being very temperemental, I'm getting no boost at all on the first turbo and only 1 third boost on the second, I've taken it to a few mechanics and no-one knows what is wrong with it or how to fix it! It's driving me mad!
Has anyone experienced problems like this or have any ideas to what might be wrong? I'm thinking about buying an apexi power fc and having it dyno tuned as I suspect the stock ecu is detecting a problem and putting the car into "limp" mode and no-one around is able to tune the stock ecu.

 

When my car was in limp mode the care wouldnt let me put my gas pedal to the floor without bucking and holding back,, wouldnt also let the turbo go into positive boost. First thing to do mate is get the ECU to do an engine electrical diagnostic (this means getting the ECU to flash ligh codes for elecrical faults on sensors in the engine bay).,,, i cant remember exactly how to do this so you may want to search or maybe someone else can tell you how to do this.
