hi there i really want a rx-7 but i hear all this crap about it... okay tell me if i'm wrong
u have to change the engine or someting lyke tat every 70k mileage... not only tat it brakes down alot... and as well as the engine is way too strong for it to hold... well so my real ? is... if i ever get this car wat do i watch out for when i get it and wat kind of repairs to do besides wheel ailments, oil changes, and etc... thx u

p.s. love the forums...and wanting to be a rx-7 rider one day!!!

Beside normal maint (oil change, tire rotation, 75k service), I had the following repairs during the last 2.5 years:

LIM leak, replace Fuel Pulsation Damper, thermostat, radiator hoses $1500 P&L
Brake Pads $45 Parts only

The repair cost really depends on the condition of the car. It's not like you replace the LIM gasket every 2 yrs, for example. It's something that you do once for the life of the engine.
