Main Fuse Box Positive Terminal Location

Hey guys I've been staring at the wiring diagram for this box for almost 2 days and still havn't figured out if this is correct. I am unsure of where to hook up the positive Battery cable and the grounds onto the main fuse box. There are 4 ports to connect to. Also, I am missing the OEM Positive battery terminal plate that usually sits in the location where the positive terminal is....I THINK. Can anyone clarify this for me? This is the only thing keeping me from starting my car!! Any help is much appreciated

Here is the Main fuse box and terminals and what I need

Figured out the Positive side of the terminal just need someone to confirm the opposite side.... that it is indeed grounds. And does one ground go to frame and the other to the Other fuse box that holds the EGI?

I don't think there are any grounds on the fuse block. The negative/ground from the battery attaches to the body somewhere on the frame near the lower portion of the strut tower and then it goes down to the engine block to ground the block.

They are both connected to each other and thus both positive. One bolt holds the battery cable and the other runs a line over to the starter (IIRC).

On the other side of the box is a fused (120A) positive line which runs to the alternator.

No ground cables touch this box.

^^ ahh thanks much! There are2x 60A fuses..is that what you mean by "fused?"

And does it matter which bolt holds the battery cable and which runs the positive to the starter?

It does not. They are both connected to the same rail of the fuse box, and must pass through the fuses to get to the other side.

Awesome, Thank you so much. So since I have your attention can I ask you about the other fuse box that holds the EGI? That box connects to the "main" fuse box by the two big grey plugs correct? and that box is then Grounded to the frame of the car correct?

That box is not grounded either. It does mount to the bracket that holds it to the shock tower, but it is not grounded there. Fuses in a circuit will be on the positive side only, and closest to the source.

The large box gets its power from the small box you were holding in your hand. In stock form, the small fuse box connected to the battery and distributed power to both fuse boxes, the alternator, and the starter. It can be confusing when pulling the loom apart because there is a ground cable in there, but it just runs from the engine to the negative terminal on the battery. When relocating, you can remove this ground if your battery, and block are properly grounded to the chassis.

In the process of this relocation fun myself

^ EXACTLY what I needed to figure out! THANK YOU. So since my battery is "Properly" grounded to the frame of the car back by the rear Bin, I can now Ground my motor (Rear housing to Firewall) to the chassis using a seperate 2G cable correct?

thats usually the ground. follow it back and see if it has a provision to bolt to the frame. before it terminates with a battery terminal.

Indeed. Just finishing up my battery relocation that I started in December and forgot where everything goes because I'm an idiot and didn't mark anything when it got too cold to work. I found it strange that it had the yellow stripe on it though. In my limited experience, the ground on anything is usually solid black.
