Angry Magnecor Wire problems

Story: On Friday I arrived at work, and just before I turned off the car it all the sudden stalled on me. When I would try and start it, it would start, but I would have to give it gas to keep it going. Also, it sounded like a race car, and with alot of backfiring. I began troublshooting when I got off of work. I could still drive it, but I had to give it gas the complete way home to prevent it from stalling. Luckily I only live 7 blocks from where I work...

Today when checking the Spark plug wires, I found that the Trailing plug to the Front Rotor was split down the middle. I just got these a little over 6 months ago from the rx7store. Now I must wait until I can get another set of plug wires. Which ones to get; I don't know? I guess there is more searching to come.

Also I just got my Super Polished UIM,LIM,and TB from "CantgoStraight" A.K.A. Jack, and I can't wait to get them installed.

You can never go wrong with the stock NGKs.

I thought Magnecor wires had a lifetime Warranty. Did they do away with that? I would contact Magnecor and see if they will send you a replacement for free since this wire is defective. Magnecor wires usually are very durable. That's their main selling point.

Magnacore wires aren't the best quality. The don't clip onto the plugs very well and tend to pop off. The best wires are stock NGK.

If it's just the rubber boot, all that does is just add some shielding and hold it onto the plug better. Doesn't really make the wire ineffective. It should be replaced, but that may or may not fix your problem.

A little trick to getting the boots onto the plug (without damaging the boot) is to grease the plugs a little with some dielectrical grease. It will help the plug slip on a lot better.
