M2's twin Garrett GT BB turbos kit

Does anyone have any experience with M2's twin Garret GT BB turbos kit? Any feedback whatsoever would be helpful: ease of install, whp, etc... They claim it can make 400whp with 1300cc secondaries at about 18psi. Just seeing if anyone has an opinion out there besides M2

Much appreciated.

Since they are twin replacements, they shouldn't be any harder than replacing the stock ones, which is fairly straightforward.

They gave you hp numbers for 18psi? He only mentioned 15psi when I talked with him- that was on pump gas- somewhere in the 360-370whp range. Was the 18psi on race gas?

either way, the M2 BB Twins is a kick *** setup.

also, running 18 PSI on pump gas is kinda retarded.

how do you guys think the M2 BB Twins compare with the Pettit Hybrid High Flow Twins that flow 15%-20% more than stock. the Pettit units are not ball bearing like the M2s, but they cost $600 less.

any opinions?

Hey JoeD,

One thing to remember: the Pettit's require a core (or core charge), the M2 doesn't. So you can recoup some of the expense selling your stocks...

If the numbers that newrx7fan posted are accurate then these turbos aren't that much better than stock. I've seen lots of people in the upper 350-360rwhp area with 15psi on the stock twins. After that then the efficiency starts to drop off, but I really don't think anyone would be running more than that daily anyway. Are there any real benefits? I know there aren't any hard numbers yet, so lets hope someone with a set dynos soon!

it all depends on your mods. add the M2 Twins to a car running 350-360 RWHP on stock twins at 15 PSI, and youll see about 390-400 RWHP.

im guessing the BB Twins add AT LEAST 40 hp.

also, i think M2 Twins can handle up to 22 PSI, as opposed to the stock snails' 17.
