xs is working on it.

Im sure they are doing all they can to get it done. They had to wait on the wiring harness and relocate the battery to the drivers side rear.

I ran the power cable to my battery(trunk) thru the passnenger side firewall...thru the rubber plug. XS told Louis that running the power too cluse to the pfc is not the way they prefer to do things. They have a better way of running the power thru the back to the battery than I had done.

Louis said the earliest would be tomorrow...though I imagine the latest will be friday.

Id love to get the results first thing tomorrow afternoon. but i dont expect it. tuning takes time and patience.

jason

PS..today i realized how easy we all have things over here in comparison to those who are fighting for us in iraq. I knew it previously..but it really sank in this afternoon. I hope this all ends soon.

I'm not trying to flame, but jesus, how come this thread started before there was a dyno?

Show me the dyno!

Damn all these things suddenly need to be replaced and it doesn't phase you one bit...you must be rolling in the dough, bro. First your wiring harness, now your OMP. Aren't they about a grand for each if I'm not mistaken? Not counting labor...

Wiring harness costs $700 I think - not sure about OMP - Jason must make money because he's probably spent more than I have on mods and he's not gone single yet

Give him a break, I was just as excited when I "heard" results but didn't have a dyno yet. I'm sure his numbers will be very impressive....

well i put the thread up the day it went on the dyno. I was supposed to have numbers already. I thought Id let some of you know..who wanted to know when it was being done.

no more whining..hahaha...im the one thats jonezing here.

rather than replace with a new wiring harness we repaired it to keep costs down. the damage was minor so it was just easier to repair.

the omp...dont ask.

I was supposed to have the results already..simple as that...but like i said...if xs needs a few days then Im not going to call and bother them.

They did one full pull on friday and final tuning is monday supposedly.

and yes...i do have a good job. want to see what i do check this...

Is there a reason to replace the oil metering pump instead of just running premix?

YES. Running pre-mix requires your injectors to inject oil in the engine at some indeterminate rate. Your oil metering pump injects a fixed rate vs rpm every time. I would never trust to pre-mixing as my sole source of apex seal lubrication.....(strapping on the flame suit for the Haltech guys). BTW, does no one think it's funny that the Haltech was designed to manage rotary engines but can't run the OMP?

Jason, I had my OMP replaced under (aftermarket) warranty last year. I know how much that stung (try about $1400 in PARTS for those who don't know...).

i run premix. premix actually gives you less wear on your rotor housings because it offers more lubrication

well guys i got a call from RRR....the car is having fuel issues and thus possible detonation at 17+ lbs.

they did a full pull at 17lbs and it put down 380rwhp....i will find out exact fuel info tomorrow and why its not performing.

i am to call them in the morning to find out what the fuel problems are and what needs to be done to fix the situation so that i can get a good dyno run.

i wish i had more info...and that i was out in LA so i could go down and get the sheets to analyze.

I will post them as soon as i can.

Jason, I am sorry if this is late, but if you need an OMP, I've got a spare in Huntington Beach that I could deliver to XS pretty easily. I'm not expecting to get anything near the list price, but PM me if you want to work something out.

Jason, i've checked out your work before (i'm an Art Director in Washington)... VERY nice.

Just Curious: How was it determined that your OMP wasn't functioning or needed replacing?? I'm worried about mine for no rational reason. Is there a way to check it?

If you use the correct types of premix that are designed to mix with the fuel then you should be fine. As you go up and down thru the rpms and boost levels you use more and less fuel which means your getting more and less oil based on the fuel inj duty cycle just like you do with the omp.

The only real reason I can find for sticking with the omp is because running pre mix over a period of time adds up to be a lot of money and its just something else to keep up with.

I do however premix only and so far like it

True. My only concern is you don't really have any way of knowing whether or not you are adequately lubricating the seals or not. It obviously works as you and many others only run pre-mix and you guys aren't popping motors right and left.

But as you point out, it's one more thing to worry about -- I've already got enough of those with this car....

lol, nevermind the single, he's prolly spent more money than some guys w/ 3-rotor conversions.
