I want to purchase a set of coilovers or springs but im not sure which ones. I was going to buy from racingbeat but they only provide a .75 inch drop in the front. I want something much lower. Who should I check out and who has the best prices?

 

If you are just looking for springs only, the Racing Beat has the best lowering in the rear, however they don't lower the front as much as the others (Eibach, H&R). It's a trade off really.
The thing to really consider is what type of spring do you want: progressive or linear.

Once you make your decision on that part, it will make the decision on what springs to get a little eaier.

About the best you'll do from just springs will be a little over an inch on the drop. If you want something lower, you'll most likely have to go with a coilover kit (something like the Ground Control would run you about $600, then add in another $400 for a decent set of struts like Tokicos).

 

The Racing Beat springs are about as low as you can go, if you plan to install any wider tire or larger rim size you will encounter rubbing issues. Also, the car will not be able to drive up any alignment racks without help over the lifts.

 

Yes, I have the racing beat springs and my car has the "slammed" look with the 17" volk ce28ns. It scrapes the front lip everywhere I go.

why are we all looking at just how low we can go. Gotta look at quality and how stiff you want them too. You may be able to get a set of short springs but they ride like crap. Just go with racing beat, eibach, or H&R. Those are the best springs out for our cars that I have tried out. racing beat has 37 (Ithink its 37, maybe it was 32 or 33 ) years experience with rx7 alone so I would trust them the most.
