Lower vacuum after injector install

I'm going to take the UIM off again, but basically, I installed the 1200 secondaries and at the same time, took the accelerated warm up system off my car. Before I would see -465 on the commander, now I see -410. Any ideas what might have caused it? I sprayed some starter fluid in, under and around the UIM, but it didn't change the idle so I don't think its a leak.

I can just list the obvious stuff that I'm sure you know already since you are doing the entire motor thing yourself

the omp vacuum lines that go to the injectors and did you add some gasket maker to the bops for the 2 pieces you had to take off for the AWS? I used stuff called The right stuff for the plates and it works fantastic

good luck, werent you the one waiting on a pineapple motor? bet you are excited to get it running....break it in though first

Tim, if you are running too rich, the excess fuel will wash the oil off of the seals and your vacuum will be lower.

I experienced this when my fuel pressure regulator went out and was dumping fuel into the intake. Clamping it off raised my vacuum by ~50 mm.

Did you lube the injector o-rings when installing the injectors? Perhaps you pinched one of them or your injectors are leaking/stuck open? Just throwing some things out there.

Did lube the injector o -rings. no fuel smell and idle injector values and O2 numbers are nearly the same. Nothing over 4% injector duty cycles, and 02 cycles back and forth like normal. I think I'll put the AWS back on, but venting to the firewall since the PFC doesn't use it for anything and see what happens and also check all the hoses again just to make sure. Thanks for the replies and if you have any other ideas, post 'em.

Anyone else experience a lower vacuum with the block off plates installed?
