My car is running at about 10-12 lbs vac at idle where as it used to have about 16-17 lbs ( no air pump) It seems to idle smooth just low vac. Boost is good and I have yet to find a leak. I pulled and replaced the plugs today and the leading plugs on both rotors were DIRTY looked like carbon city, strangely the trailing on the front rotor was clean and actually looked like a lean running motor? Any way my question is would this be a canidate to try the ATF deal on?? I'm hoping that some carbon has just crudded up the inside or apex seals causing the low vac????? Your thoughts .

 

I'd check the guage first, check for kinked guage vacuum lines, attaching fittings then go from there, check IC piping, intake elbow seal, etc.. Good luck!

 

One way to check the gauge would be to compare the pfs value to the boost gauge value. Maybe the intercooler is leaking at one of the seams.

How about I smach my car into yours and we get the insurance money and go get a couple of vets or vipers or something.
