low idle and shut off in 90 degree weather??

Its an auto fd w/ 33k miles (orig turbos and engine). Sweet car, in mint condition but the current owner says that he has had the engine idle low and shut off on him once, when he was at a stop sign....he credits the cause to the enviormental temp at the time being well into the 90's. The car has a catback exhaust and an intake.
Can anyone propose a reason for the car to do this and is this a sign for me to look at another FD? I know im a noob so any help from the more experienced members would be great.

thanks in advance

this happens to me as well..
my FD doesn't shut off but in really hot weather 90 degrees+, my idle dips down to less than 400 rpm.. my car is COMPLETELY stock... w/ really low mileage ..

I've always wondered why..

I've also noticed that it does this when my radiator turns on... or when I turn on my AC..

It dips so low I get scared it's gonna turn off so I rev the engine a bit to raise the RPM.

Perhaps you need to adjust the idle just a little higher. This sometimes happens when you have an aftermarket pulley. I'd also say go find a manual FD. Automatics are no fun.
