CA Low idle issue

Hey guys, finally got the rx7 up and running again. Everything is looking good except for unusually low idle, and sometimes when i turn the AC on the car will just turn off. My car is an automatic btw. Anyone know what could possibly cause this and possible solutions to the problem??

Thanks in advance guys!

There is an adjustment screw on the lower part of the drivers side of the throttle body. It is under the intake elbow. If you use a mirror, you can see it. Use this screw to increase the idle to 750-780 rpm (when the engine is warmed up).

I'm having the same issue especially when running all my accessories i.e. a/c, subwoofer, and brakes. The car will usually die at stop lights if I don't feather the gas.

I was doing some research and want to clarify....one source says not to adjust the idle because its set from the factory and to look elsewhere for the problem.

Is it safe to adjust the screw on the lower part of the drivers side of the throttle body?

I would like to fix this problem because this is my DD and air conditioning is a must.

Thanks

The screw is there precisely so that you can adjust it. If it were not adjustable, there wouldnt be an adjustment screw.

I got similar issue when i drive my car every time i stop at the light the RPM would drop way pass 500 RPM and engine would just die.I check every thing adjust TPS and every think that related to idling not think works. So i try the clutch switch and it turn out my clutch switch is the issue that cost it to do that. You can try it it may work for you I think there a post in here that tell you how to fix it it's very simple to fix all you need to do just go under were your clutch pedal you can see a clutch switch just unbolt it out open it and see there are a spring in there and if it broke just pull it out and you can use any ball point pen push type that got a spring and you can use the spring of it to replace the broken spring .Hope this help

Exactly the same problem I am having, I havent tried adjusting the screw yet because like you I always read that it should not be adjusted unless it was tampered with. I was wondering if this could possibly be a grounding issue?

I would definitely try your method but my car is an automatic :/ wish I had done my research before buying an auto and just spend the little extra money on a manual instead of thinking id eventually do a manual swap.
Anyways would you possibly have any ideas as to what the problem could be in a auto FD?
