Question low idle

okay, my 93 fd auto, touring, 78K miles, good compression (last checked 1 month ago at Rotaty Performance), primary trubo good, secondary either hurting or I have a boost leak (looking for it, pattern is currently 10-5-7-5). I have been piecing together the silicon hose replacement, cleaned the throttle body last night. On wednesday (and again today), there are points where I will be driving and come to a stop (in drive with the brake pressed in), and the idle will drop close to 500, usually between 600 and 700. This seems low to me, and I can even feel the car begin to shudder as it gets lower. If I turn on the driving lights it pops up to at least 800 and that kind of eliminated the problem. Anyone have any ideas? The first time this happened was wednesday morning, before I had started any of the hose job, or replaced gaskets or spark wires. I hadn't changed anything under the hood but the battery in almost a month.

I know this can be a million things... but I had an incident where my car started idling funny, I took it to get a compression test and it was fine. So naturally I drove the car with the funny idle. Meanwhile I could find nothing wrong with the car. I got on it one day out of the blue and the car got worse. Took it to the dealer and got another compression test. I am in the middle of installing my new motor as we speak...

My auto FD does the exact same thing....but only sometimes.

I have 62k, silicon hose job done. good boost pattern and other wise in great mechanical shape.

Usually I can just give the throttle a blip to 2.5k or so and it will settle the idle around 1k.

When's the last time you changed your plugs? This could be a cause.

Also, maybe your idle needs adjustment?

Does it ever die on you at a stop? Mine doesnt. It will get down to a lumpy 500rpm but seems to stay there and not die.

Also whats your vacuum @ idle?

dayem, I can't figure out what's wrong with my idle too. I got a shakey, and fluctuate idling. Every time I start my car,I would get a 10hg on vacumm and climb to 12hg after the car is warm up.... I think I probably have a leak some where .
