Okay, let me know what you think. I'm thinking of throwing a hood on it, possibly the Mazdaspeed GTC. Is it heavier than the factory hood?

Oh well, post your comments... i know, i know... i like the wing... The wheels are going to go as soon as I can find someone to pawn them off on.. with that in mind... this weekend sucked...

Arrow Holy Crap Batman!!

Now that is a significant amount of work. Outside looks really good, heck of a presence. What body kit is that? and how much - if you don't mind me asking??

Engine compartment looks very nice, single turbo conversion is very clean.

Interior is awesome, like what you did with your Commander, didn't know that it would fit in there like that. Much better then hanging on the side!!

Sweet ride!!

What in the heck did you do with your intercooler?? That looks very strange - not FMIC and not SMIC either, is it across the top of the radiator??

i really dislike that wing, and the non pop-ups and the stock looking bumper make it look more like a jag then a fd, and the rims... ohh their horrid.

Other than that, Its pretty nice. I like the v-mount set up and the single turbo, but its a little dark in there (could be the light when the picture was taken.

Keep up the good work.

Kiflin- yeah, it was kinda dark... the intercooler project isn't done yet.... I hate the re amemiya kit too.... but someone stole my pop-ups when the bumper was off getting painted!!!!

manatecu- 5 channel d-a/b hybrid. 1100w class d and a 74x4...... too much power...

shred -thanks. it's an apexi front bumper, veilside rear sections, knigtsports side skirts, and the wings west wing.. the pfc commander fits awesome there! so much better than velcro or a mount somewhere (flush), it's a custom v-mount setup (i run 185ish in steamy LA with a stock rad....)

what you think guys, mazdaspeed (painted red) hood or a carbon fiber vis one?

i like the wing cuz i have the same one. the kit is alright, i would go for the stock 99 front which im goin to be doing next spring. the rims have to go. i give it a 7 1/2 out of 10.

I like the outside with the exception of the aforementioned wing and wheels, though the wheels aren't too bad.

The IC is definitely unique, what kind of intake temps are you getting with it?

Stereo is waaaay overkill IMO, but to each his own.

Nice. I love the headlights. Get some pulleys though. Also, do you have a splash guard tray underneath? In the first two pics, it doesn't look like it. One might direct more air through the radiator as opposed to passing under the car.

Wow, that's for sure.

IMO - The stock interior is best. I really hate even putting a pod in. But you gotta have more stinking gauges.

I can appreciate all the $ you spent. The exterior and engine look great (not the wing).

nice project.... I don't like the wing, or the veilside rear skirts with the other type along the side. Go ahead and get a better shock tower brace, and please clean off your intercooler. I like that flyrx7 gauge pod you have, I have it too... other than that I think it looks good. you seem to be having fun with it, and that's all that really matters.

ooh and get clear corners in the front too.

I was looking for the barf smilie but I can't find it

Is there anything on that car that's not hacked from stock form

I can respect the engine work if that was done right

Hey it's your car as long as you like it

Leave him alone about the wing :P I had that wing on my car since 1998 and I did think it made it aggressive looking. I like the 99 spec alot better but wasn't going to spend $800 for it.

The car looks good - only problem is that it's pretty heavy. With a full body kit and 4 subs in a custom enclosure along with larger heavy rims, your taking away alot of speed. Hopefully you didn't cross the 3K lb barrier - that would be a sin in a FD

The only thing I dislike on the whole car are the rear skirts - everything else looks good - if the stereo sounds great, keep it - but you might want to turn up the boost to make up for all that WEIGHT!! Good luck

not bad

I can appreciate the personalized details you have done yourself. I love the ACV-R mounting. Also like the white-faced gauges.
The wing isn't my favorite but its better than no wing, IMHO, same with the wheels.
Sorry about the pop-ups, I don't really like the fixed-mounts. Lose the rear skirts.
Get the carbon fiber hood.

Hey explOd, love your sig!

I'm also hoping that's not the driver's side fan motor that I see peeking out from underneath the IC. The routing of the radiator hose (crossing over the IC) also makes me a little skeptical that it's an actual v-mount setup, even though a missing belly pan might point toward one. Is it a v-mount? You'll need to make sure that there are no gaps around the IC and radiator (if it is indeed a v-mount), otherwise you're not going to be getting much cooling to either the intake or the coolant system.

I like the engine work, and the gauges look really nice. There are some things I don't like about it - mainly, I don't think the sides flow into the rear all that well, and I think the stereo is a bit much - but it's your car, and as long as you're happy - it's awesome. Plus, it's got more mods than I do, so I have to respect that.

The rear of the car doesn't flow at all, from the side skirts to the rear skirts. It goes from the side of the *** being all jagged, to the smooth lines of the stock bumper.

If your FD interior wasn't rattling enough already I'm sure that stereo has done a good job of shaking everything lose.

But I like where you have the Power FC placed.

Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks.

whew... that's a lot of responses.. thanks everyone for your input...

the stereo was a "bet"... to show I could outbump someone with less money... (besides... ever heard maynard sing passenger with four 10s and 1100 watts?.. killer.. those of you who know who maynard is know what kind of music i listen to..) that's a kenwood dvd in the dash, i've got two 7" visor tvs coming in too in a week or so... also a bet...

the ic is a little project, modeled after RE's v-mount IC. right now intake temps are still kind of high (normally 40-60 degrees C, but i've seen 80 on a really hot day). the temps will fall drastically when i finish the ducting. (aluminum sheeting, rivets, and black paint).. that will become the "splash guard"

..i couldn't find any spinners i like.... maybe i'll spray a set gunmetal.....

the intercooler is actually painted black... that's why it looks so dirty. It (and everything else intake related) is going to be sprayed blue in the near future.. the chock tower brace does it's job well i believe... I'm still waiting to see another one of those "triple point" ones on ebay (mount to the firewall in two places as well)

what do you mean, "hacked from stock"... not sure i get that one.. engine was built by BNR.... that scares me a bit, but it hasn't given me any trouble yet. It's got 9k on it and going strong...

personally, i like the look of the wing (it reminds me of my 3000gt vr4.. i really liked the wing, it grew o
n me after having a few... the only other one i liked was the racing beat type II..... when i was looking for this one, someone happened to be trying to sell it for a long time and I got it really cheap, so i went with it.. I'm taking it to the scales soon. The body kit doesn't way too much, and a lot of crap has been removed, the good thing about the box, caps, and amp is that they come right out on track day... i like to joke that the rx6 turbo kit is on there to make up for the stereo.

i assume you mean the pfc mounting? yeah, it fits in there nice.. You can't see it, but the avc-r and rev-speed meter (tight little toy) are both oumted on apexi mounts above the rearview mirror...

v-mount not finished yet, right now there are actually fans between the two and it's got to go down a lot on the angle... i've still got to finish the intake material.. (too busy with 19 hours of school, 40 hours of work, and army..)

i'm glad to rid of that wing. I can't beleive i sold it for $300....

the rear skirts I'm not to hot on, but of the options, this one fit the best... (it looked really bad without them..()

those are the whit faced dual stage revers indiglos...they're on ebay, they fit nice and look great. I'll take a night pic tonight if i can.. I've had them on three cars and they are all great..

it is not a stock bumper. it's the apexi front bumper. Why does everyone mistake it for stock? it doesn't really look it i don't think... i also thought this was the best looking front for the car... I'm in the middle of "rattleproofing it".. rattleproofing= lots of stick felt, rubber washers, and weatherstripping..

keep up the suggestions guys...

Looks like a really tight mesh on the oil cooler vents. This might restrict airflow.

What does painting the IC do to heat transfer? Is that an NPR IC (which are sometimes painted, aren't they)?

I'm not big on body kits, but I think the headlights and front bumper are fine.
