lots of coolant

i just flushed my coolant system and after "burping" the system several times it took about 2 gallons of coolant in all. is this normal? i suppose it makes sense considering i drained about 2 gallons out of it i just thought it would be more around just one gallon. anyway....how much does it usually take the rest of you guys before your system is full again?

BTW....i also changed my transmission fluid with redline's mtl. i would just like to say that redline fluids kick *** and there is a VERY noticable difference now when shifting.....much smoother

the cooling system holds approximately 9 quarts, which is just over 2 gallons. Unless you drained coolant from the block as well as the radiator, you'll only be able to put about 8 quarts back in - or 2 gallons.

Go to www.iluvmyrx7.com and download the shop manual - it tells you all of the capacities of the engine.
