Loose gear shifter

I was wondering what causes the shifter to be loose. It's hard to tell what gear it goes into until I hear it and look at rpm. Also looking to get a short shifter. What brands are preferred? Thanks for any information

I have a Ralco RZ short throw I just installed, it came as a complete assembly with no loose parts but it rattles quite a bit. Do you think that bushing is my problem too?

When the bottom piece gets loose or comes off, shifter will feel sloppy and at some point be hard to do anything with. One of the Few easy and cheap fixes on the 7. . .

Is there a kit that sells all of the bushings in one. Thanks for posting your pictures.

I just order them from Ray Crowe, that way you know you're getting the right ones-- especially the wave washer and the nylon piece.
