yeah, im totally glad that i got the twins now!!!!!

Well, I just got done removing the cat, and cat back...I think there's plenty of room to run dual exhaust with 2.5" piping. However, it's really tight going under the rear axle/side of diff. I might have to trim a small bit of the sheild that covers the axle, and lower the exhaust ~.5" right there, but that should be it. Keep in mind this is with a spacing of 2" between the 2 pipes. (I taped to pipes together with a 2" spacer between them) I can just put them about an inch apart right there, and be just fine. There's PLENTY of room where the cat is, and all the way up to the motor compartment. I plan on having 2 straight pipes, but I can also make a seperate peice with 2 cats for emissions, and won't have a problem fitting those either. I'll snap some pictures tomorrow of how much room there actually is. A new wave of inspiration has hit me!!! LOL

I'm thinking about going with this muffler since it has the least amount of space between the piping. However, it has a perforated x-pipe in the muffler, not sure how that would effect things. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=625

man, i think thats a good idea. that muffler should work just fine. . . theyre only gonna collect a little. . .

hang on a second. . . i thought that muffler was gonna go in the midpipe area? if the muffler you gave the link to is the one youre gonna use in the stock mufflers place. . . id go another way. just get a regular one that has dual in/dual out. . . no x-pipe or anything. . . it doesnt need to be narrow, unless its in the midpipe area.

Well, I already have the muffler, so i'm hoping it'll work just fine. Im going to set it up so it'll bolt in and out, just in case I don't like it. Then I can just find another muffler, weld on some flanges & tips, and try again. I hope it works out the first time though! lol

Well there's a few problems with putting it in the midpipe area. First of all, I can't put a cat in for emissions. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem paying them off, but i'd rather pass legally. Second, I already have the muffler. I bought it for my Ram a while back, but decided i'd better leave the truck alone till I finish my car. :) Third, Magnaflow doesn't make a dual inlet/outlet without an x-pipe. I don't mind buying a diffrent brand, but i'm not sure what other brand to buy.
