Well, I just got done removing the cat, and cat back...I think there's plenty of room to run dual exhaust with 2.5" piping. However, it's really tight going under the rear axle/side of diff. I might have to trim a small bit of the sheild that covers the axle, and lower the exhaust ~.5" right there, but that should be it. Keep in mind this is with a spacing of 2" between the 2 pipes. (I taped to pipes together with a 2" spacer between them) I can just put them about an inch apart right there, and be just fine. There's PLENTY of room where the cat is, and all the way up to the motor compartment. I plan on having 2 straight pipes, but I can also make a seperate peice with 2 cats for emissions, and won't have a problem fitting those either. I'll snap some pictures tomorrow of how much room there actually is. A new wave of inspiration has hit me!!! LOL
I'm thinking about going with this muffler since it has the least amount of space between the piping. However, it has a perforated x-pipe in the muffler, not sure how that would effect things. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=625 I'd probably weld these tips on the muffler. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=701 I'd take the "Magnaflow" off the tips though. -Alex |
