which looks better. . . . dual out or single out???
alright. . . i just wanna know what everyone else thinks. . . AAAAAAAND i wanna see a collection of pictures. so. . . if you have pictures of your exhaust. . . post em along with your opinion.
thanks, paul |
I don't have a pic of my racing beat dual handy but right now everyone says dual tip is better :)
|
I think dual tips provide a more sophisticated look. Running a large single tip exhaust just looks like every Civic/Integra driving around....
Here's mine....:) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../rear-wide.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...r_close-up.jpg |
Pics soon sorry.

I agree with Rynberg :bigthumb:!

is there anyway to get the rb duals without the inside tip? i don't like how that looks :o:
|
.
|
i agree with Rynberg on this 100%. I have the Racing Beat duallies too, but then, i'm older than my years and enjoy a quiet sophisticated look... its like drinking Dom Perignon instead of Colt 45 :D

c00lduke, It looks like your exhaust is slightly angled... If it is, what is the degree of the angle? I am interested in doing this but I don't want it to angle too far. It maybe just the picture though... |

one with with rb duals and the other with greddy sp...

you have two cyms ??? :D
|
hmmm. . . thanks for the pics guys. . . im still horribly torn. hahahaha, i dont miss my old hks catback at all. . . it was huge. . . however it seemed like it kinda fit the car. NOW, i have done a custom exhaust. the muffler is black with a single 3" outlet. i have plenty of room for a long tip so i could do a dual tip setup. i would never be messing with this had my 4" tip not been on back-order until july 7th. im starting to think i should spring the extra bones for a dual tip config. but that greddy sp didnt look to bad. i think the reason im leaning toward duals is because of the black muffler. if it were stainless id probably stick with the single outlet. . . but since its black. . . i dont want too much of it to show or i dont want a stainless tip to be "hanging out of nowhere". hahahaha. also, im wondering if the dual tip setup will make it a little quieter. . . though i doubt it. :D
thanks a lot guys!!!! paul oh, btw, those tires are HUGE!!!!! |
SINGLE
then again...the rb duals look sexy too |
Not sure if I'm a fan of the HUGE tires.
|
I like the angled look though. Thinking about selling my peter farrell exhaust for something like that

If you can't find any info, I can snap a pic of mine tonight. Dave |
I like the old style RSR exhaust, wish they still made them in that style. The new style looks kind of "fat".

you funny lookin goof ball!! What were you thinkin with this thread???? Jk I like the duals better. Much classier and more sleek imo. But I had to go single to get the flamage and extra power. Greddy's titanium single sounds pretty good imo and I like the weight savings. I liked my custom duals much much better for looks and sound though. Fire is cool Mmmm k |
i like single tip, i have the pfs..

That has to be one of the best analogies I've ever heard. Racing Beat dual tip or similar :bigthumb: |
RSR / Racing Beat Dual (old style)

I believe this is the old style Racing Beat, but I've only had it 6 months so I can't be 100% sure.

-Alex I can tell you now, it hangs a little long; I'll bet the tips are 1" further out the back than they should be. My exhaust fits kinda crappy - still not sure which component is making things difficult. Dave |

Dave I'm planning on running a dual exhaust (one for each turbo, custom TT setup) and I want everything on the outside to look/sound as stock as possible, including the exhaust. Since the RB only has a single inlet, I plan on buying a Magnaflow muffer, with dual inlets/outlets, and welding some Magnaflow tips to it. I'm just not sure what size muffler to get, so i'm hoping that the measurement can give me a rough idea on what size to get. -Alex |
alex, dont worry about your petty thievery!!!! :D this thread is here to help everyone. . . including myself.
about the muffler size. it all depends on your tip length as well. the original tip length for my single setup was 12" or so. . . the case length on my flowmaster is 13" i believe. . . theres plenty of room under there. i must say however. . . youre wanting to run duals all the way back right???? what size? based on what ive just done. . . its not all that easy to fit piping in that area. i went with 3" piping and that was somewhat hard. i assume youll go with dual 2.5" piping. . . that equals MORE than 5" running through that area when you add in the spacing between the two. itll be hard. . . ill say that confidently. if you do it. . . by all means. . . post it. cause i wanna see it. . . or better yet. . . come by davids house and let me see it. . . cause im willing to be itll be crafty. itd have to be in order to get it to fit. also, what is the point of doing that? do you get better HP gains from true dual on a twinturbo setup? i wouldnt know. . . if it were me. . . id be collecting early on with a magnaflow in the midpipe out to one 3" pipe to the rear. . . finish with the catback of your choice. paul |

paul -Alex |
you want something that sounds one off??? come hear my flowmaster super 40 deltaflow!!! i dont have any tips on it yet. . . (just ordered them), but i think itll sound a bit different. :D
i think your idea of collecting them at the midpipe is a good idea. that way you can spend less on the catback area. just find a muffler that you like that you can do that with. should be pretty awesome. if you need some help let me know. paul |
just had an idea. . . dont the apexi n1 duals y-out before the rear wheels? if so. . . you could get that catback and match it up from there. . . that way you can have your true dual system. :D
paul |
Another for the RB duals, I love them :bigthumb:
