I agree with the gunmetal or graphite concept... and I am going with 17s, which is plenty big enough for me.

Ask for Hiro. There is some sort of Japanese holiday going on now, so it might be a little a few days before he gets back.

I don't care for the 'rivet' look around the edge of the rim. These are nice, but they're not my thing.

but i could imagine it would be a bitch to clean brake dust from all those little holes.
If money is not that big of an option.....BUY VOLK WHEELS. They are extremely ight and very strong! The Volk LE-37's in Gun Metal Grey look the best on all colors of FD's (esp. silver and black). The dark bronze Volk SE-37K's look sweet on a red. yellow. or re-painted blue car. On white, I would go with a silver color rim. Maybe the BBS RXII's.

It's your car so get what YOU want. IMO those are to bling bling and are ugly. I only like chrome on show cars.

I haven't read through all the posts, but seeing that we've all got the same car (me actually having a silver FD as well), I want your rides to look their best. So here are my suggestions.
1-Decide exactly on what styles of wheels you want to have. Try to get them used. Always better, since you may end up changing your mind later. And most wheels don't have production dates so it's not like they decrease in value over time, like your car. You'll lose close to nothing if you sell wheels that you bought used. I bought a pair of Racing Hart C5's when I had my MKIV Supra. I made $500 after selling them. Not too shabby. That and you don't waste time looking at something you don't want.
2-Be ready to have cash on hand when someone puts his/her wheels up for sale. That's how I got mine. I bought a set of 4 SSR Integrals (17X9 and 17X8) for $850. There was absolutely so scratches on them. I fronted the cash ASAP and they were mine. If you have to wait, the seller will just give them to the next person.
3-If you don't like the color, you can get them powder coated. Shouldn't cost more than $100 per wheel for a VERY GOOD job. I'm going to get mine coated to gunmetal gray.
Picture it, Silver FD with red leather and black tint, R1 wing and '99 spec tail lights, gunmetal gray SSR Integrals. I like it. What do you all think?

I shouldn't have said chrome looks cheap... it CAN look good, but I think it has been overdone. In any case, I want my wheels to match my paint job somewhat.
I like the used idea - makes sense to me.
I'd still like to see more pics of silver FDs with custom wheels...

Did you see the pics of the SSR Comps on the silver FD in the wheels section. Now that looked good.
