Looking for a specific hi-flow cat... [yes I've searched]

I saw this weld-on cat awhile back... its made up of what looks like 3 - 1 1/2 or 2"tubes wrapped up in a sheet metal housing .... I know someone knows what im talking about !!!

I think you are talking about the Borla XR-1 Race muffler, not a cat. The Race model of the Borla XR-1 product line has the construction you described. I don't see any reason why they would split the element of a cat like that.
