I need engine mounts pretty bad. I'm looking for better ones that are not factory ones but I don't want solid ones. where can I find them that not require a core?

i agree, but if searching is hard...making engine mounts is going to be more difficult

go to www.banzairacing.net Chris there sells good mounts for fd's for around 250 I think. I'm not sure about the price though. Check them out. I'm sure they are what you are looking for.

As a result of hearing many complaints from customers about stock motor mounts and seeing first-hand how frequently they break, we decided to develop these much more durable and adjustable mounts. They are manufactured from 90A durometer red polyurethane, with 3/16" steel end-caps. All hardware included is grade-8. These mounts should never need replacing.

These motor mounts will drastically reduce engine movement, making for quicker shifting and faster ETs. They cause slightly more vibration than stock, but significantly less than solid mounts. We have designed in adjustability allowing you to stiffen or soften the mounts to your requirements.

Traditionally these mounts are installed at the shop location only, as the core motor mount brackets are required for fabrication. However, we can fabricate a set for you if you send us your core brackets. Your core brackets will be returned to you degreased, cleaned, painted and rebuilt, with all hardware and instructions necessary for installation.

Well making your own looks simple enough so I'm going to try that route. But can't find detail pics on how to do it. Most of the pics on the threads they are x'd out. My question is, the hole for the bolt, did you use a bushing to protected or just put the screw through it? Thanx

 

Damian. I looked at your motor mounts. Yours are different from mine. I haven't look at them yet but I'm pretty sure they are just plain 93 mounts with the hump on them. My question is that I can't find out how the rubber piece is held in place to the arm. I'm assuming is not by hte bands that goes around them.
