looking at a new R1, should I buy it?

ok, so I've found another black on black 93 R1, the last one I was looking at... it just was to much cash.

this is a bit better. it's got 110k miles on the chassis and has a new reman motor in it, put in by a good shop. it's got an Apex'i Power FC With Commander, Exhaust, and Twin Intake system. it's got a Koyo Radiator, a Greddy Blowoff Valve and Turbo Timer, it's got a new Downpipe, Megan Racing Coilovers (soon to be replaced by me if I get it). it's also got an East-Bear Style Carbon Fiber Headlight Conversion, that will be replaced with the stock headlights by me when/if I get it. it also has Enkei RPF1 Wheels 18x8.5 Front and 18x9.5 Rear with solid tires on them. on the audio side it's also got an Alpine CDA-9857 Radio Head Unit. I talked him down to letting it go for 15k in cash.

now ... is this a fair price, this car for 15k.

the car is straight, the body is in good shape and the interior is as well. I'm not a fan of the headlights on it but it seems to be a good buy. I'm not sure about the harness, gotham racing did the reman install and they seem to run a tight ship. the car is in good shape and the body really only shows the wear you'd expect at 110k miles.

Not a horrible price, but unless its in excellent cosmetic shape its alot of money for a high millage 93 still on stock turbos. I'd offer him 13,500 and see what happens.

A friend recently sold his 93 MB Touring with over 100k miles on original motor with M3 intake/exhaust kit and a bunch of spares for 19k. Sounds to me like the 15k is a good deal.
