Looking to buy '93 or greater rx7 or muscle car. Opinions on what to buy!
I really like the looks and power of the tt rx7's and the looks and power of muscle cars. The question is what will be cheaper to maintain and repair if needed over time. What will be the overall best investment in the long run?

If you are looking at low maintenance costs, you will definitely want to buy the musclecar, but if you want something that will be worth some money in the long run, get a RX 7. Todays musclecars are a dime a dozen, and still being made(Z28, TransAm,Mustang) I used to have a 94 Pontiac TransAm, yeah it was fast, looked pretty good(all of the redneck girls liked it). I paid alot for that car, but now you can get them for around $5000 now(they depreciate fast!) Also, nothing gets looks like a 3rd gen RX 7!

Which one is the best investment is really a matter of opinion I would suppose, cars aren't really a worth while investement if you know what I mean. Hands down a muscle car would be easier to maintain, and probably cheaper.. less parts to mess with and break. Possibly might be a better investment as well depending on which muscle car you choose, although RX-7 are becoming more rare as time passes. But they are really two very different types of cars.. I myself would like to build another old car sometime in the future when I have a larger garage, I miss my old '65 Mustang sometimes.

Thanks for the replies. I had found a 93 rx7 but it was not running and needed alot of work. I am no mechanic and it would take a good amount of time to fix it up. it seemed to be a good price around 5k, probably needed that much more to fix which is more than i can afford at one time. Think he may have sold it already though. Maybe one day i can have one of each. Heard any good deals on any 3rd gen rx7's?

RX-7's are money pits. But they're worth it, IMO. I will give props to the 4th gen Camaros and T/A's ... LS1's are quick cars and can handle pretty good for being 3600lbs or so. Do what you want ... it's your money.
